Health Insurance Plan
The LMC is very proud of its health insurance program for manufacturers, which has realized more than $2 million in group savings. The program, spearheaded in 1999 by the LMC for manufacturers in the lowcountry region of South Carolina, was expanded to make health insurance coverage available for manufacturers statewide who are members of the LMC. The program currently provides coverage to over 4,000 employees in South Carolina.

Workers Compensation and Property & Casualty
Nash and Powers Insurance Service, Inc. (N&P) partnered with Gibson and Associates to provide a comprehensive Property and Casualty Program. They will utilize Companion Property and Casualty Insurance Group (Companion) of South Carolina for underwriting.

Companion is an “A” rated carrier with its home office, loss control, claims, and underwriting located in Columbia, South Carolina. It is licensed to operate in 47 states and is a wholly owned entity of Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. Companion is a strong carrier with the ability to underwrite all lines of property and casualty insurance.

The program is designed to drive down the direct and indirect costs associated with each participating member’s insurance plan. They will place a major emphasis on assisting your business with a workers compensation program while simultaneously offering a competitive option for all property and casualty lines of business.

Voluntary Benefits
Healthcare Choice, LLC., (HCC) partnered with Gibson and Associates to provide a Voluntary Benefit (VB) Insurance Program to the participating members of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA). Their protocol for VB insurance is to provide each individual member with a personalized VB program that best suits their employees’ needs utilizing top-rated and industry leading insurance companies.

HCC partnered with AutoApp enrollment software to assist in the enrollment process therefore eliminating the challenges associated with traditional voluntary benefit enrollments by utilizing a group product approach. AutoApp is an electronic enrollment platform that utilizes bar coded paper applications that are scanned and remitted to the carriers electronically. This provides for an enrollment process that incorporates the best of a pre-populated self enroll form and electronic application submission, resulting in a fast enrollment plus clean policy & billing.

Products available include: Gap Insurance, Limited Benefit Plans, Term Life Insurance, Universal, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Cancer, Critical Illness, and Accident Insurance.
