Affinity Committee (Member Benefits)
Focuses on increasing the buying power of manufacturers. It serves as a group-buying consortium for the LMC. The Group Health Insurance program has saved manufacturers in South Carolina substantial dollars and is the strongest affinity program to date. A discounted Workers’ Compensation program is also available to members. Several other programs are also offered to LMC members.

Workforce Development Committee
Focuses on addressing the workforce development needs of the region in order to insure that manufacturers have the skilled employees they need today and in the future.  Works in partnership with regional organizations, educators, community leaders and local industry to raise awareness about manufacturing and employers' needs. Identifies short-term and long-term training needs of the region's workforce with specific emphasis on manufacturing skills. It heightens awareness of careers in manufacturing through teacher-internship programs (WISE), Manufacturing Summer Camp, and in-school programs. 
Manufacturers Roundtable Meeting Series
Welcome to the "2011 Roundtable Luncheon Series."  The goal of these gatherings is to provide a format for open discussion among manufacturers, as well as offer informative speakers on relevant topics.  Offered bi-monthly, the program brings together area manufacturers to hear about relevant topics in a structured setting.  The program is offered at no cost and is open to a limited number of guests to foster communication, idea-sharing and interaction among like-minded manufacturing professionals.  Stay tuned for dates and more information on the upcoming 2011 meetings.

Executive Committee
This committee is composed of the Chair, Vice Chair, Chair Elect, Secretary and Committee Chairs. They are responsible for shaping and guiding the direction of the organization. Their input is directly related to the Board of Directors meetings and decisions. In addition, they are responsible for effectively marketing the LMC’s programs and events by building awareness of the LMC with its current and prospective members. The goal of the committee is to build membership and encourage members to be active in LMC programs.
